Think Baby Training Cup Review

Laura of Oh! Buy Baby Products wrote a great review of the Think Baby training cup after her little gave it a test run. Here’s her take on it:

I was pretty happy about Mr. Man taking this sippy cup. He had been very reluctant to take anything but his Playtex Nursers, and had refused bottles with silicone nipples, and anything that he had to actively tip in order to get any milk to come out. I was surprised that he would take this- and take to it he certainly did! I was able to get rid of all the baby bottles and he uses this sippy and his Born Free sippy exclusively. I am happy that I can be sure that by using this cup, Mr. Man is not coming into contact with harmful leaching chemicals, and I absolutely LOVE that there is are no valves or “extra parts” to clean or that can attract hidden germs (it is so hard to get those little parts clean!). It has leaked a bit, but I contacted Think Baby about the leaking and they assured me that there is a new spout opening in the works that allows less leakage. I am not sure we have ever had a sippy cup that is 100% leak-free so even 90% is good in my book. Right now I would say that the Think Baby Trainer Cup is at about an 85% leak free stage. Mr. Man has figured out that if he presses the spout against the couch, or mom’s sweater, or the dog, etc. it would leave a wet spot. We had to learn when to take it away from him, and he had to learn to be okay with us taking it away from him as well (i.e. not screaming or yelling, “Baba! BABABABABA!”).

I’m glad someone liked it. We were given one as a gift and we hated it. It leaked like crazy. I would not recommend this to anyone right now till ThinkBaby fixes that problem. And, not too be too petty but I really hated that orange color. Not very cute. I think we’ll go get a Kleen Kanteen one instead.

Please let me know, I just lost a lot buying a lot of born free. Thanks!!!

I purchased the Think Baby Training cups about four weeks ago, and my daughter is out of the bottle completely, now they are using a cross-cut pattern in the spout that prevent leakage, I love them and highly recommend them, I have not noticed any leaking in almost a month using them, so give it a try….
