Play and Learn Baby Spoon Review

We were recently introduced to one of the most innovative baby spoons we’ve ever seen – the Play and Learn Spoon by Baby Human Inc.  My youngest sister, Becky, is The Soft Landing’s inventory and shipping manager, so she saw the sample spoon before the rest of us.  She snatched that spoon up with lightning speed and offered it to her little guy for lunch (you gotta be fast around here!).  His first experience with the Play and Learn Spoon was AMAZING!  He looked completely natural – like he’d been using it for months!

The Play and Learn Spoon has done wonders for other parents and has been highlighted by popular parenting blogs like Modern Mom, and is being featured in the March issue of Parents Magazine.

So what makes it such a unique departure from the average spoon?  It’s a rubbery, flexible, two-sided utensil that mimics a real spoon and fork.   Babies learn to use a scooping motion, while the ergonomic design fits into baby’s hand perfectly.

  • Promotes self-feeding through play
  • Mouth guard prevents gagging
  • Double-sided for left or right hand use
  • Curved handle aligns spoon with baby’s mouth
  • Flexible & durable
  • BPA, PVC, phthalate and lead-free

My 7 month old keeps gagging on the traditional spoon we have been using, so this one would be great!
