Description:
This class is a combination of three mini courses:
5 steps to Avoiding Toxic Plastics: Participants will learn what specific chemicals to avoid in some plastics, how to decipher labels and recycling codes, get Bisphenol-A savvy, why we want to minimize exposure to vinyl (PVC), and do your own toxic plastic detective work.
Flame Retardants: Participant will learn health risks from over-exposure, common places where flame retardants are used, and easy steps to reducing your family’s exposure; plus safer alternatives.
Green Nursery and Home: Participants will learn the areas of concern in your home and nursery which effect indoor air quality – paint, carpet, bedding, and furniture; suggesting safer alternatives and ways to reduce toxin exposure.
