Okay, I’ll admit when the Drop-Guard company first contacted us with info about their silicone-encapsulated bottle, I thought the idea a bit strange. And when I opened the package, I thought they were regular glass bottles until I touched one. The silicone over-molding can’t be seen (unless you choose the tinted version), but the bottles have a very unique, rubberized feel to them. The cover is so thin that I wondered whether it could actually live up to the promise of preventing glass explosion and shards. So to the street I went for a rough and tumble test – and you won’t believe what I found . . .
